Refund policy

Try before buying. Rights still respected.

Our software is delivered digitally and includes a complete trial where stated. This policy explains the general refund position and how statutory rights are protected.

  • Effect of a refund

1. General position

Unless applicable law requires otherwise, purchases of downloadable software are non-refundable and non-exchangeable once the product and licence have been delivered or made available for download, activation or use.

Useful Course & Class Manager provides a complete seven-day trial before purchase, with no account or payment card required. We encourage you to confirm compatibility and suitability during that trial.

2. Statutory consumer rights

Nothing in this policy limits mandatory rights concerning digital content that is faulty, not as described, not fit for purpose or not delivered. Rights vary by country and the protection most favourable to you under applicable mandatory law will apply.

Consumers in the UK, EU and EEA may have a 14-day right to withdraw from some digital purchases. That right may end once downloading or use begins if the consumer has expressly consented to immediate supply and acknowledged the loss of the withdrawal right. Other countries may provide different cancellation periods that Paddle will apply where required.

3. When a refund may apply

A refund or other remedy may be available where:

  • mandatory consumer law requires it;
  • a material technical defect prevents access to the advertised product and cannot reasonably be resolved;
  • the product was not delivered within a reasonable period after a confirmed transaction;
  • the same product was accidentally purchased more than once; or
  • Paddle grants a discretionary refund under its current refund policy.

A change of mind after delivery, failure to check published system requirements, or a feature assumption contradicted by the product description will not normally qualify, except where mandatory law says otherwise.

4. How to request a refund

  1. For a technical problem, email hello@usefulsoftware.co first so we can attempt to resolve it. Include the application version, operating system, transaction reference and a clear description.
  2. Refunds and statutory withdrawal requests are administered by Paddle. Use the support link in the Paddle receipt or visit paddle.net and choose the refund option.
  3. Submit requests promptly within any applicable statutory or Paddle discretionary period.

Paddle determines and processes eligibility under its Buyer Terms, Refund Policy and applicable law. It may ask us to confirm delivery, activation or technical-support history.

5. Effect of a refund

If a refund is issued, the associated software licence ends and the licence key or file must no longer be used or shared. The application may retain read-only access or export facilities where the product design provides them, but continued licensed editing is not permitted.

Approved refunds are normally returned by Paddle to the original payment method. Processing time may depend on the payment provider.
