Discuss a project

If it’s getting in the way,
let’s sort it.

Whatever your industry. Whatever you use today. If a system or process is making work harder than it should be, we’d like to hear about it.

It might be an ageing database, a pile of paper, five tools that don’t talk to each other, or a perfectly good idea with nowhere to live yet. Start with the frustrating bit. We’ll help work out what could make it better.

No technical brief needed. “There must be a better way” is a perfectly good start.

Sound familiar?

Good people.
Awkward systems.

The people doing the work usually know where the friction is. You don’t need to know what the replacement should look like to start a conversation.

  • You enter it here. Then again over there.

The same details travel through forms, emails and spreadsheets. We look for ways to capture information once and get it where it needs to go.

  • The work is done. The admin isn’t.

Chasing updates, preparing reports and finding the right version take longer than they should. A clearer process can give people more time for the job itself.

  • One person knows how it all works.

An old database, a clever spreadsheet or a process held in someone’s head. We help make the rules easier to understand, use and maintain.

  • The business has moved on. The system hasn’t.

More people, different services, new devices or customers who need access. We can explore a better fit for the way you work now.

There isn’t a “wrong” starting point.

Excel, Access, FileMaker, a specialist package, paper forms, a home-grown system, or something we haven’t listed. Tell us what it does and where it gets awkward. The name on the box is only part of the story.

What happens next

A conversation.
Then a clear next step.

You don’t need to decide on a new system before talking to us. We start by understanding what needs to work better.

  1. Understand the real problem.

We read what you’ve sent and ask useful questions about the work, the people and the information involved. If a conversation would help, we’ll arrange one.

  2. Find a sensible way forward.

That might mean improving a process, connecting existing tools or building an application. We’ll be clear about what looks feasible and where we need to investigate.

  3. Agree the next step.

If we’re a good fit, we outline the scope, likely costs and timing. Any paid discovery or development is agreed with you before it starts.

Where could it lead? A Windows application for the office, an iOS or Android app for people on the move, a web application for shared access, or a connection between the tools you already use. We choose the approach around the work.

Over to you

Tell us about
the awkward bit.

A few rough notes are enough. Only your name, email and description of the problem are required. Share anything else that helps; leave the rest for our conversation.

  • What happens today? The tools, forms and little workarounds.
  • What gets in the way?The slow, repetitive or unreliable bit.
  • What would better look like? What you’d love to make easier.

Bryn’s note: Rough notes welcome. I’ve seen worse.

We’ll reply to the email address you provide. Please describe the process without including passwords or customer records. Here’s how we handle your information in our privacy policy.

Before you press send

A few useful answers.

Still finding the shape of the problem? That’s a good time to talk.

Do you work with our industry?

We’re happy to hear from any industry. We start by learning how your work happens, what matters to your team and any specialist requirements. If the project needs knowledge or capabilities outside our scope, we’ll be clear about that.

Do I need a detailed specification?

No. Tell us what you use today, what frustrates you and what you wish were easier. We can work through the details together. A simple example of a typical job or task is often more useful than a long feature list.

Does everything have to be replaced?

Not necessarily. There may be useful parts worth keeping, a missing connection between tools, or one bottleneck we can tackle first. We look at the practical options before deciding whether a new application is the right answer.

What if I don’t know the budget or timescale?

That’s fine. Choose “Just exploring” for timing and tell us you’d appreciate guidance on budget. We’ll need to understand the work before discussing realistic costs and a timetable.

Can you help with existing information and integrations?

We can assess what can be carried across and which systems could connect. That depends on the data, its quality, available exports or APIs, permissions and any supplier restrictions. We check those details before promising a route.
