Cookie policy
Your visit. Your choice.
This page explains the cookies and similar browser technologies used on usefulsoftware.co and how you can control them.
Last updated: 4 October 2026
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. Similar technologies include local storage and identifiers used by embedded checkout tools. They can make a website work, remember preferences, protect transactions and help measure visits.
2. How we use them
- Necessary technologies operate the website, remember privacy choices, protect forms and support secure checkout. They cannot be switched off through our consent tool where they are genuinely required.
- Analytics technologies help us understand which pages are useful and how visitors move around the site. We use these only after consent where consent is required.
- Marketing technologies may be added in future for advertising or remarketing. They will remain disabled until the appropriate consent has been given.
Desktop applicationUseful Course & Class Manager does not use website cookies and does not contain usage telemetry. This policy concerns the website and checkout experience.
3. Cookies and providers
| Provider or technology | Purpose | Category | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Squarespace website and cookie-choice identifiers | Website delivery, security, forms and remembering your cookie preference | Necessary | Session to approximately one year, depending on the identifier |
| Squarespace Analytics | Aggregated site traffic and performance measurement | Analytics | Varies by Squarespace identifier and configuration |
Google Analytics, including identifiers commonly beginning _ga | Measure visits, page use and campaign performance | Analytics | Up to two years for some browser identifiers; event data retained for 14 months |
| Paddle checkout cookies and local storage | Secure checkout, fraud prevention, transaction continuity, localisation and payment processing | Necessary for checkout | Session or as stated by Paddle |
The exact identifiers can change when our providers update their services or when optional features are enabled. The cookie-consent panel shown on the website provides the current categories available to you. If we add Meta/Facebook advertising, embedded video or other non-essential services, we will update this policy and place them behind the relevant consent choice before enabling them.
4. Your choices
You can accept or reject non-essential cookies through the cookie banner and reopen cookie preferences using the website's cookie-settings control. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser. Blocking necessary technologies may prevent forms, preferences or checkout from working correctly. Browser-level “do not track” signals are not consistently implemented across services, so the cookie-preference control is the clearest way to communicate your choice on this site.
